Pulwama Incident: India raised 200% Customs duty on all goods exported from Pakisthan to India

After Pulwama Incident India has withdrawn MFN (Most Favoured Nation status Status). Basic customs duty on all goods exported from Pakistan to India has been raised to 200% with immediate effect. 

Union Minister Arun Jaitley Tweeted on Saturday

India has withdrawn MFN status to Pakistan after the Pulwama incident. Upon withdrawal, basic customs duty on all goods exported from Pakistan to India has been raised to 200% with immediate effect.

On February 14. 78 vehicles transporting more than 2,500 Central Reserve Police Force from Jammu to Srinagar was traveling on National Highway 44, suicide bomber attacked at Lethpora (near Awantipora) in the Pulwama district. Forty CRPF personnel were killed and five injured in this terror attacks in Jammu and Kashmir.

India has decided to remove Pakisthan from MFN Status, MFN status to Pakistan was granted way back in 1996. Pakisthan was Exporting to India include fresh fruits, cement, petroleum products, bulk minerals.
